Understanding the Difference
Your doctor or midwife will…
Perform clinical tasks such as checking fetal heart rate, blood pressure, check your cervix, diagnose and treat high risk pregnancy, prescribe medications, deliver your baby, perform a cesarean (only doctors), apply sutures, and many other clinical procedures.
Your doula will…
Provide continuous support during labor such as massage, assist with breathing techniques, and help change positions during labor. In addition your doula will provide education, assistance with first latch, provide additional resources, and other nonclinical tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions
The best way to determine this is to do a consult so we can discuss what would fit you best but here is the rundown. The Essentials package is best for repeat clients or those who have already taken a comprehensive childbirth education class with a previous pregnancy. The Combo package is best for first time moms or those who are attempting an unmedicated birth for the first time. For those who need more privacy or an individualized schedule the VIP package may be the best option to get all the information that is needed.
During the 1st prenatal visit we will go over your birth plan, birth preferences, packing a bag for birth (if not doing a home birth), and reviewing signs and stages of labor. During the 2nd prenatal visit we will be reviewing breathing, massage, when to call me, positions for labor and birth, when to call your midwife or leave the house, etc.
Yes. Please ask me about how to qualify for a 15% discount.

No. I am out of network with all insurance providers. An itemized receipt is available upon request for you to file for reimbursement on your own.

Childbirth can be intimidating, especially when you want a natural childbirth for your first child. I thought I knew what to expect, but who can truly know exactly what birth will be like if you’ve never experienced it before? Please consider working with a doula and specifically Brittney. I have heard of stories where mothers express regret or horror stories, yet working with Brittney as a doula helped me have the birth I was looking for and have the encouragement I needed throughout my labor and delivery. She was such a blessing to my husband and me in our first pregnancy and strong support. I encourage parents to seek and work with a doula in order to ensure they have the right support and the experience/knowledge they need (especially in critical moments).
Having another person to support both parents in the birth process was worth every penny. You can Google pain relief methods, but when labor time comes you could forget everything in the stressful time. Having a doula lifts that stress because they remind you that you know all the methods to get through it as quickly and painlessly as possible! My unmedicated labor with a doula was less than 5 hours and I was in control the whole time, very different than my first hospital birth that lasted 30 hours, and i owe that to my doula! 100% would recommend hiring a doula.
Brittney was absolutely amazing! As a first time mom I was super nervous with the idea of giving birth. But she teaches you how to think positive and helps steer you the more natural route. With her help I was able to give birth to my baby boy without any pain relief. Highly recommend!!

I could not recommend Brittney enough! She has such a calming presence and is so knowledgeable! We learned so much from her during the classes and she taught us lots of useful stretches and pain management options. She was incredible during my birth and I truly do not think I would have been as successful in my fully natural unmedicated birth without her. She worked quietly in the background, always making sure I stayed hydrated and ate. She also put cool wash clothes on my face during labor and used counter pressure to help with the contractions. When she arrived and took over helping with pain management, contractions got more bearable and we felt calmer. She also helped by bringing all of the necessary tools for pain management (ex. Tens unit, ball for counter pressure, comb, etc.). I will 100% be using Brittney again for my next birth!
